What is Google Search Console? How to fix errors on the highest to lowest priority.

In this blog, I explain Google Search Console in detail. Why is it important, and how is it beneficial for indexing and crawling our website?

Google search console: It is a free Google tool that came into existence in 2005. It's an old name, Google webmaster. It helps to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot your site's presence in Google search results. Now, It is called Google Search Console. 

Now the question arises, how can we connect the Google search console with the website?  Here is define the steps[rel]

1. Need Email id to sign up on the Google search console

2. Select + Add property on the dropdown.

3. Choose the type of property to add:

URL-prefix property (https://example.com)

4. Get the HTML Code. Added on the website backend in the theme editor. 

5. When Code has been added to the website Google search console account is active

Now,  I have explained every property of The Google search console one by one.  

1. Overview: In the overview dashboard, You can see the Performance graph, Indexing, Experience, Shopping and Enhancements.


2. Performance: When you click on the performance graph and full report, then you know how many Impressions, Click, Average CTR, and Average Position are the website Also see the user query, which URL most visit clients come through, which device like mobile and desktop etc. 


3. URL inspection: Url inspection property helps to check whether the website url is indexed in search engines. If the website URL is indexed, show the status indexed; otherwise, you can submit the indexed page request. When you can submit the request Google bot notes and crawl by the search engine. 


4. Indexing: In the indexing section, you can check which website pages are indexed by the Google bots and which pages show the error. This section plays a vital role in the overall Google search console. You can fetch your website site map in this section. When you have done the code setup on the search console then, you need to put a sitemap on the indexing section. If the sitemap is fetch successful, then your website has more chance to crawl by Google bots. 


5. Core Web Vitals: It is a new feature of the Google search console. With the help of core web vital, you can know about the user experience. Core Web Vitals improves user engagement and business metrics. Core Web Vitals report shows your pages performance based on real-world usage data.

LCP (largest contentful paint), FID (first input delay), CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)


6. Links: With the help of links, you can check which backlinks are indexed on Google search console.


How to Fixed Errors from highest to Lowest Priority

1. Site Errors:  Site errors are  the highest priority. These are high-level errors that affect your site. We do not skip. In the crawl error dashboard, Google will show you these errors for the last 90 days. 


2. URL Errors: URL errors are different from site errors because they only affect specific pages on your site, not your website as a whole.

URL errors are no longer happening, one tactic to employ is marking all errors as fixed and checking back up on them in a few days.

But, I have checked your website have not show URL Errors

3. Soft 404 : A soft 404 error is when a page displays as 200 (found) when it should display as 404 (not found). Soft 404 no error in your website.

5. Crawled - currently not indexed


6. Alternate page with proper canonical tag 


7. Excluded by noindex tag” -  Google Search Console
